This week, not only does Art Basel return to Hong Kong, but JW Marriott Hotel’s Flint Grill & Bar will be launching an art-inspired menu for budding foodies and seasoned gourmands - available exclusively from 21st to 27th March.
What happens when Executive Chef Stephen Doe teams up with Pastry Chef Roger Fok? Well you get a gastronomic revelation of both an eye enticing meal that tastes great, inspires and engages you - an experience not to miss out on!
This specially crafted 3-course dinner includes the ‘Rock Pool Portrait’ - a nautical medley of oysters, razor clam, surf clam, abalone, geoduck lime, sake granite, samphire and sea kelp. Next up is the ‘Palette Board’ - a choice of bone-in Linz Heritage New York Strip or New Zealand Akaroa King Salmon as a canvas, with a salsa verde and roast tomato paste as the paint, in case you feel artsy while you eat.
All of this gets followed by a scrumptious dessert titled ‘Pop Art Lips’ - influenced by forever infamous Andy Warhol’s lips theme - a chocolate ganache dessert with blood orange compote and fun little ice-cream dipping dots. What about the drinks you ask? Included as part of the menu is also a show stopping 'Gin Lavender Sour Cocktail' that arrives at your table - this breathtaking drink consists of lavender cordial, lemon juice, egg white, rhubarb bitters - a medley of fresh flavors, all in one drink!
But please, don't take our word for it, this delicous art-inspired meal is priced at HK$888 per person, includes the Gin Lavender Sour Cocktail, as well as Petit Fours with coffee or tea. Minimum 1-day advance reservation required.
